Your Gaze
About this series...Inspired by the tradition of Victorian lovers’ eye miniatures, this series explores the intimacy of looking and being looked at.
Historically, a lover’s eye served as a private token of affection - a portrait reduced to a single gaze. Removed from the body, the eye became both a presence and an absence, carrying the weight of someone no longer there.
Through these works, I am interested in how certain people continue to inhabit us long after they are gone - not through their image, but through the feeling of being seen.
